| Description: Rare Heubach German bisque porcelain baseball figurine c.1880s. Scarce fielder large size variation figurine is one of the rarest of the five piece set standing 13" tall with hand painted blue pinstriped uniform. Very clean example with two very minor inpainted flakes under the hat brim and some minor edge chipping along the edge of the base. Impressed German manufacturer stampings "Geschuetzt-Gesetzlich" appear under the base. The offered figurine was discovered in the Tennessee area along with the other two figurines in the sale and is being offered within the hobby for the first time: EX/MT-NM |
