| Description: Fine Babe Ruth single signed baseball c.1933. Slightly off white unused Spalding "Babe Ruth Home Run Special" ball having bold stampings and alternating red/blue stitching. Penned on the sweet spot is a spectacular blue ink fountain pen signature of Babe Ruth. Signature rates 9/10 out of 10 exhibiting no visible flaws with consistent ink flow and absolutely no age fading. Originally given to a young man upon his 13th birthday and remained, literally, stored inside of a sock until its sale to a collector in 1991. Since that point the ball has been in the collection of a hobbyist and is being offered for the first time at auction. With respect to ball type/condition, signature strength, and visual appeal we would rank this exemplar among the top three that we have offered.
