Description: Rare Spalding "Black Betsy" decal bat c.1920's framed with 1919 World Series ticket stub. Bold full size 35" long two toned bat with trademark thick handle and black barrel finish. Retains circular "Black Betsy" decal on the barrel which is approx. 85% intact having no evidence of restoration or inpainting. Bat itself has Spalding lettering at centerbrand along with impressed block lettering "Black Betsy Model". The bat appears to have a thin coat of varnish in certain areas that may have been applied after its manufacture. Includes a handsome shadowbox style frame in which the bat is displayed along with an original 1919 World Series Game #2 ticket stub. Ticket was issued for Game #2 played at Chicago and has some aged tape reinforcement and corner chip. One of the most difficult decal bats to locate with note to the fine decal condition and the added display/monetary value of the 1919 World Series ticket stub: Bat: EX, Ticket: GD-VG
