Description: Rare 1907 World Series real photo postcards (2) - Cubs vs. Giants at West Side Park. Significant pair offering pre-game views of an early World Series in striking and uncommon clarity. Each is captioned "World's Championship Series. Chicago." at bottom and shows players on field and well dressed spectators in the stands. In one, a bear can be seen walking off the field, confirming that they were taken in Chicago's home venue. The postcards remain in fine overall condition with a touch of light even toning and a hint of natural handling and age related wear. The first we have seen or offered of this particular format.
