Description: Bobby Shantz autographed c.1950s professional model glove. Top of the line Rawlings model "EM" (Eddie Mathews) right handed glove has the number "21" written on twice in vintage marker. In addtion, it has been signed "Bobby Shantz" twice, once in in vintage ink (8 out of 10) and later in marker (7/8-8, inscribed "8 Gold Gloves"). Documentation includes a handwritten and signed letter to noted collector Paul Hill in which Shantz mentions the glove, a later letter in which he reiterates "The glove you have is probably one of mine which I used in the 50's because I did give one to Paul Hill", and 1994 Hill Collection letter of provenance. A well documented example from the noted pitcher and member of the 1958 World Series Champion New York Yankees.
