Description: 1973 Oakland Athletics full sized World Series trophy as presented to select players and front office members. Rare period original trophy stands a full (2) feet tall and measures 13" across. A metal band which encircles the base is lettered, "Oakland A's 1973 World Champions" across the front and has team member names impressed throughout the balance. Set on the base are a green metal placard inscribed with game scores, a pair of press pins, and a figural metal baseball with the year "1973" on front sits within a brass band that supports a decorative crown. Ringing the perimeter are a series of uprights which hold a flag representing each team in either League. A touch of light wear effects the top surface of the base and there is some flaking to the figural baseball. A few flags have scattered imperfections and it is possible that a handful are replacements.
