Description: Al Kaline autographed professional model baseball bat c.1966. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Kaline facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 34.5" long and weighs 32oz. Model number "S2" has been stamped in knob with factory records indicating a sole batch which matches these specifications having been shipped during the 1966 season. Strong evident usage wear with scattered ball and contact marks along with a touch of grain swelling due to repeated contact. A large handle crack has been fixed with several small nails and most of these, along with some other small imperfections, are now discreetly covered with wood filler. Signed "Al Kaline" in marker rating 7 out of 10. Kaline posted impressive numbers in 1966 hitting (29) homeruns and earning his 9th Gold Glove and 12th All-Star appearance.
