Description: "Our Baseball Heroes" color lithographic print. Classic 19th century engraving of (12) star players from the National League teams including Anson, Mack, Ewing, Robinson, and Davis. Vignette images surround a beautiful color lithographic game scene in center, marked "Supplement to the Police Gazette June 1, 1895 Richard K. Fox, Propr." at top right. This particular example retains stunning original color. The print itself has been laid down on thin stock acid free paper for conservation purposes with professional restoration to a few small tears at left edge and some inpainting to several edge chips along the bottom perimeter (not visible under matting). Lightly visible vertical center fold line mentioned for accuracy only. Overall size is 15 3/4"x19 3/4" matted and framed.
