Description: Ernie Banks professional model baseball bat c.1961-64. Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball with Banks facsimile signature burned into the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 31.6oz. Model number "S2" is factory stamped in the knob which has a vintage "14" player number written on in marker. Strong usage wear evident throughout with ball/contact marks to the barrel which has some grain swelling and separation. Scraps of vintage tape remain on the handle which appears to have a small repaired crack. A very nice example dating the heart of Mr. Cubs' storied career in Chicago.
