Description: Rare 1980 Tony Taylor Philadelphia Phillies World Series Championship 10k gold ring. Desirable original Championship ring as issued by the Phillies to Taylor as a member of the organization following their much heralded inaugural franchise World Series Championship. Though no longer in his playing days, Taylor had long served the Philadelphia faithful through (15) seasons and is a beloved member of their "Wall of Fame." A diamond accented "P" team logo appears over maroon stone background. Beveled edges of the face are lettered, "Philadelphia Phillies, World Champions." On the left shank is the year "1980" above a relief of the World Series trophy. Right shows Veterans Stadium and the name "Taylor." Marked "LGB 10K" on the interior band which has a small indentation. Long cherished by Taylor it was clearly well worn with mild wear throughout.
