Description: 1934 Tour of Japan team autographed photograph. Classic sepia toned photograph shows the famed team on field with a stadium filled to capacity serving as backdrop. It has been signed by (16) participants incl. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx, Moe Berg, Connie Mack, Charles Gehringer, Lefty Gomez, Lefty O'Doul, Pete Cascarella, Frank Hayes, Eric McNair, Earl Whitehill, Earl Averill, Doc Ebbling, Rabit Warstler, and Bing Miller. All are done in period fountain pen rating 6-6/7 out of 10 on average with a few lesser. Ruth remains a nice 5-5/6 while Gehrig has faded to a touch lesser (approx. 4/5). The image is housed in a simple wooden frame (9.5"x12.5") and has some light evident toning with just a hint of wear. A rare and highly desirable piece originating from the famed Halper Collection.
