Description: Art Fletcher professional model baseball bat c.1917-21. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with dash-dot-dash centerbrand measures 34.75+ long and weighs 38.1oz. It has been side written in grease pencil, -Art Fletcher 3-4-21.+ Uncracked with very strong usage wear evident throughout inclusive of visible ball marks and grain swelling. Fletcher enjoyed a successful career with the New York Giants and would play on (4) Pennant winning teams under John McGraw. After retirement in 1922, and a brief stint managing the Phillies in 23 and 24, he began a (19) year tenure as a Coach with the New York Yankees. While with the team they earned (10) American League pennants and (9) World Series Championships.
