Description: UPDATED DESCRIPTION: Art Donovan autographed c.1953 Baltimore Colts sideline cape. Early oversized cold weather jacket/cape done in blue wool and lined with gray satin. "Baltimore Colts" is lettered in similar fashion on either side allowing for reversable use. This team designation was added when the Franchise moved to Baltimore from Texas and the old logo is believed to remain intact under the secondary period Colts logo that was added. This is based on a third example from the Hott collection (previously sold) which had the Dallas patch remaining intact. Very desirable in that the vestiges of 'Dallas Texans" titling is visible under the new "Colts" team designation. "Sand-Knit" manufacturers tag appears in one pocket. Usage and general age wear throughout with a few areas of discoloration. There a few period team repairs on the gray side which has been signed "Art Donovan" (and personalized) in marker rating 8 out of 10.
