Description: Ordell Braase professional model Pro-Bowl helmet c.1966-67. Rare original Baltimore Colts helmet by Riddell, refinished in the period for use in a Pro-Bowl game. Team logos were removed (outlines remain visible) and it was then painted gold with blue/white accent stripes and "NFL" logo decals added. "RK2 Helmet" label remains inside along with size "7 1/8" stamping. A small piece of vintage trainers' tape has handwritten notation reading "Braase 81." All interior padding is intact with the rubber insert at center of suspension stringing dried to odd shape. Strong wear throughout suggests use both before it was refinished and after.
