Description: 1958 Johnny Unitas Batimore Colts "Outstanding Teamwork" plaque. Black wooden plaque has exceptionally well executed circular bronze casting mounted on front. At center is raised likeness of a helmeted Colts player ringed by text which reads, "Baltimore Colts 1958 World Football Champions, For Outstanding Teamwork." Below is a small metal placard which reads, "Presented to John Unitas." Leading the Colts throughout their first Championship season, Unitas passed for (2,007) yards and (19) touchdowns en route to a now Legendary performace in "The Greatest Game Ever Played." Obtained directly from Unitas, it was later relayed that the nameplate at bottom was replaced by his former business partner after the first was damaged. A substantive presentational piece from one the games' all-time greats related to one of his finest seasons. Measures 8"x10" with a touch of light wear: EX-EX/MT
