Description: 1969 Houston Astros professional model road jersey. Gray flannel jersey with "Houston" lettered across the front has number "47" on back. An embroidered strip tag in the collar reading "44 47 69" denotes size, player number, and year. Rawlings tag appears on the front tail (size 44) along with a wash tag and "Set 1 1969" flag tag. Astros team logo on patch on left sleeve is a period original which was shifted by the team from the left after removal of the MLB 100th Anniversary patch following the 1969 season. The jersey otherwise remains in an exceptional state of preservation with light evident usage and wash wear. Although this number was worn by Bob Watkins in 1969 the jersey was later given to Jack Billingham, likely for use in Spring Training the season after.
