Description: Fine Willie Stargell Pittsburgh Pirates professional model batting helmet with strong 1979 World Series attribution. Yellow helmet by American Baseball Cap has black brim and Pirates "P" logo applied at front. A number "8" decal appears on back over the (3) player A.B.C. Company logo. "Pro-Celd" interior label remains affixed, the size label is no longer present. Strong usage wear can be found throughout with appropriate scuffing and color transfer marks. Obtained just after the 1979 World Series, it has long resided in the Pittsburgh area collection of the original recipient, and is being offered for the first time publicly. Although use in the World Series can not be definitively stated there are characteristics which appear common to both this helmet and those Stargell can be seen wearing during those games.
