Lot Number: 301

Description: Choice late 1920s Babe Ruth single signed baseball. Red and black stitched "Wilson Official League" baseball has been signed across the sweetspot, "Babe Ruth" in fountain pen rating 8 out of 10. Ruth's use of quotations and the signature style employed date the ball to the late 1920s and it was quite likely signed in the 1927-28 time period. Ball displays a touch of light toning that is very slightly more accentuated on the lower panel. An outstanding example which offers display qualities rarely seen in Ruth singles from this key period of his career. Includes auction LOA from JSA: Ball EX, Sig. NM
