Description: Larry Bowa professional model baseball glove with attribution to the 1980 World Series. Rawlings XPG model glove retains its original Rawlings manufacturer's tagging on back strap and glove exterior with heavy visible use throughout. The glove was originally obtained from Bowa by the son of former Philadelphia Phillies manager Frank Luchessi after the 1980 World Series. The glove was subsequently signed on the exterior, "Larry Bowa My 1980 WS Gamer". Based on comparison with images from the 1980 World Series coupled with the Luchessi provenance we can in fact attribute the offered glove to have been used as such. Very rare and desirable game glove as used by one of the game's great defensive players from the 1970-1980s era. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and several letters of provenance including a signed letter from Bryan Lucchesi denoting the acquisition from Bowa and World Series use: VG-EXEstimated Price Range: ($1,000-$3,000)
