Description: Mike Schmidt attributed c.1973-74 Rookie era Philadelphia Phillies professional model jacket. Red woolen jacket with swiss embroidered "P" team logo on front chest has white faux leather sleeves and is accented with red/white trim. "Wilson" manufacturers tag in the collar notes size (44) and has several vintage marker notations including what appears to be a blurred number "20." Usage wear evident throughout along with a hint of light/mild discoloration. History is relayed via a handwritten letter from a very well-known Phillies collector whom states that he obtained the jacket from another former player. He further narrows dating through several style details to the 1973-74 time period. Given the related history and proper sizing, we are confident in offering this as one of the earliest pieces of Schmidt related game material to have entered the marketplace.
