Description: Scarce Robin Roberts professional model baseball glove c.1950s (Team Related Provenance) Rawlings Mort Cooper model glove retains its original manufacturer's labeling on exterior backstrap with interior stampings remaining visible. Strong overall use is evident throughout including wear to the interior pocket. Replaced lacing at top of glove fingers. Vintage "36" written in period black marker on thumb exterior. The offered glove originated from the personal collection of longtime Philadelphia Athletics and Phillies broadcaster Claude Haring. Robin Roberts was one of the more dominant pitchers of the 1950-1960s era. His durability and consistency are legendary remaining atop many of the Phillies franchise record lists and earning him election to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The glove also includes an 8"x10" black and white photo of Roberts pitching which pictures him wearing an identical Rawlings model glove with "Anchored" web stamping clearly visible. Very fine Hall of Fame member game glove with impeccable provenance. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions and letter of provenance from the Haring family: VG-EX
