Description: Bob Skinner 1960 World Series Game (7) bronzed cleats. Pair of vintage cleats in period appropriate style have been bronzed and each mounted atop 5.75"x12" wooden base. Included copy of a 2004 dated handwritten note from Skinner addressed to a friend to whom he was gifting them which attests to their use in the dramatic game in which Bill Mazeroski hit his now famous walk-off homerun. A standout member of the Pirates lineup for better than (8) seasons, Skinner played his part in both getting the team to the post-season in 1960 and contributing to their Championship win. In the first inning of Game (7) he reached base and was later driven in, presumably crossing homeplate while wearing these very shoes.
