Desirable archive contains original "Baseball Centennial Special" menu from the June 12, 1939 Hall of Fame dedication which has been signed by (34) incl. (11) eventual Inductees highlighted by Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, G.C. Alexander, Connie Mack, Eddie Collins, Dizzy Dean, and Gabby Hartnett. Other notables incl. Moe Berg, John Tener, John Heydler, and James A Farley. Fountain pen and pencil signatures rate 8 to 8/9 out of 10. Menu is displayed within 14"x17" frame with light toning and scattered wear visible including a horizontal crease. Series of (18) period original snapshot photos (2.5"x3.5" with light toning/wear) taken that day show rare views of various players whom took part in the famed game which was played incl. Ruth (seen in 2), Hank Greenberg, Walter Johnson, and Mickey Cochrane. Additional image pictures Sgt. Alexander Welisevich who was stationed at a U.S. Army Base in New York whose family the material has remained in until this offering. The Centennial was a defining moment in 20th Century baseball history marking the opening of the Hall of Fame which has become an American Institution.
