Description: Rare George Sisler professional model baseball bat c.1922-25 with possible use during 1922 MVP season. Superb example from one of the original inductees into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Succinct labeling period places the bat within the time frame of Sisler's legendary 1922 season in which he captured the Most Valuable Player Award wtih an astounding .420 batting average. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measures 36" long and weighs 38.2 oz. Bat presents very nicely with original surface and evident use including ball marks, stitching impressions, and minor grain swelling. Louisville Slugger trademark stampings along with George Sisler facsimile signature stamp remain very bold. Very fine exemplar which based on dating, use, and visual appearance may well be among the finest of its type to have surfaced within the marketplace.
