Description: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig autographed baseball c.1920s. Red and black stitched Spalding brand J.Heydler Official National League baseball has been signed on the sweetspot, "Babe Ruth." Positioned on an adjacent side panel, such that both can be viewed simultaneously, is "Lou Gehrig." Period fountain pen signatures rate 7/8-8 out of 10. Ball displays mild even soiling with light scattered wear and appears to have been used with an abrasion/scuff over manufacturers stampings. The panel below Ruth's autograph, and possibly other areas, has been painted over, likely in attempts to conceal other signatures/blemish and enhance display value.
