Description: July 4, 1967 Chris Short Philadelphia Phillies Franchise record setting strike-out and game balls (2) . Pair of baseballs as used in career win #92 played in Philadelphia vs. the Houston Astros. Short struck out Rusty Staub in the top of the 7th to surpass Curt Simmons as the Phillies then all time leader in strikeouts for a left handed pitcher (he would later be passed by Steve Carlton). The strikeout out ball as retained by Short has notations which relate detail of the event however large portions have faded from view; additional game ball (presumably the final out) has series of bold readable marker notations relaying game details.
