Description: Fine Ted Williams professional model baseball bat c.1951-55. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with "Ted Williams" facsimile signature burned into the barrel end measures 35" long and weighs 32oz. Stamped in the knob is a factory applied "W166" model number, as ordered by Williams from 1951-55, and a thick black number "9" was written on in the period. Strong usage wear is evident throughout with ball, transfer, stitch, and rack marks visible on barrel which displays some grain swelling and a few small indentations. Pine tar remnant and a small crack appear on the handle. Exceptional example being especially desirable with first hand provenance and period "9" marked knob.
