Description: Scarce Kid Nichols Uhlman cabinet c.1889. Exceedingly rare cabinet card (4.25"x6.5") showing Nichols with Omaha utilizes the same image as can be found on one version of his N172 Old Judge card; this larger and very clear image bears the same "copyright 1889 Goodwin & Co." imprint and "Nichols..." captioning. This is the first such example we can confirm to have surfaced and given his brief (1) season stay with the Omaha team it can be assumed that at most a very small number were produced and this is quite possibly the unique surviving copy. Image portion remains very clean with well registered photograph showing little mentionable wear; the mount has some light wear to corners/edges. Lower left corner has minor chip. Back in generally the same shape with one small line of discoloration. Graded (SGC 45 VG+): EX/MTEstimated Price Range: ($2,000-$4,000)
