Important honor as bestowed upon completion of the 1941 season which would mark his last in the Minor Leagues before Johnny Pesky joined the Boston Red Sox. Wooden base supports oversized metal column on which is engraved, "Presented to Johnny Pesky, Louisville, In Recognition Of Being Named The Most Valuable Player of The American Association In 1941, By A Committee For The Sporting News."
