Description: 1974 Rico Petrocelli Boston Red Sox professional model home jersey. Knit pullover jersey with "Red Sox" lettered across the front in stylized font has player number "6" on back. "McAuliffe" manufacturer's tag appears on inside front tail along with adjacent size "42", year "1974", and wash tags. Strong usage and wash wear is evident throughout with some loose stitching to applied letters/numbers and additional scattered light soiling and mild even toning. Included for display are a pair of pants, tagged in similar fashion (size 34) with several additional markings/identifiers. The pants were likely reused within the team's Minor League system and have been size altered but remain suitable to create a uniform like display. Petrocelli played with the Red Sox for nearly (12) full seasons (including 2 in which he was voted an All-Star), contributed to their 1975 AL Championship season, and was elected into the team Hall of Fame in 1987.
