Description: Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig, Opening Day 1933 (glass plate negative). Fine image of Ruth and Gehrig in Fenway Park for Opening Day in 1933. The first time we have encountered this particular pose which so embodies the spirit of the era. Vintage glass plate negative with extremely minor typical/expected loss confined entirely to edges and a hint of soiling. Small grease pencil identifier handwritten at top. Approximately 4"x5".
