Description: Updated Description: 1994 Chevy Suburban driven by Cal Ripken Jr. for several years during his legendary career. The vehicle was driven by Cal during the historic period in which he tied and broke Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games played record, September 5 & 6, 1995. To clarify, the vehicle was not specifically driven to the record tying and breaking games. Ripken also drove the Suburban to Orioles post-season games in 1996 and 1997. This particular vehicle was driven by Cal Ripken during a time period in which some of the more memorable and significant moments of his storied career occurred. This unique experience package also includes two first class airline tickets to Baltimore, two nights in one hotel room in Baltimore, two tickets to Cal Ripken's statue unveiling and private party at Camden Yards on September 6th and two tickets to the Sports Legends Museum Gala honoring Cal and fellow Hall of Famer Eddie Murray on September 5th as well as signed Ripken memorabilia.
Cal Ripken commented on the offering and the event as follows, “Kelly and I thought that the time was right and we thought it would be a fun way to celebrate the streak in light of the wonderful honor the Orioles are bestowing on me this year. We have been very focused on helping kids and building fields and the funds raised from the sale of this vehicle will help us continue to do that. We had many great times in these trucks and the memories will last forever. I hope that enthusiatic baseball fans and collectors will view this as a very unique piece of memorabilia.”
Please call for more details on the vehicle itself or the experience package included with the lot.
