Description: Jim Tunney NFL Referee uniform c.1960s. Uncommon black and white striped uniform as worn by NFL referee Jim Tunney. The front of the jersey features an early NFL embroidered patch above a breast pocket. Original "32" in red tackle twill numerals is affixed to the reverse having been signed in black sharpie by Tunney. Wilson manufacturing label is found at tail front along with size 46 flag tag. Accompanying is a pair of vintage white uniform pants having "PS" written in black sharpie on back of waistband. Unique game uniform from the most prolific referee in NFL history who officiated between 1960-1991. Tunney is the only referee in NFL history to officiate in two consecutive Super Bowls and also presided over numerous significant games such as the 1967 "Ice Bowl" and 1982 "The Catch".
