Description: 1956 Stan Musial St. Louis Cardinals road jersey. Stunning exemplar of a very rare one year style Cardinals jersey displays the team name in script across the front with #6 on the reverse. Embroidered Cardinals redbird patch remains affixed to the sleeve with Rawlings mfg. tag on the tail front with size 44 tag. ""Musial 56"" is chain stitched in red onto the tail front as well. Interior tail front reveals a dry clean tag along with ""Set 1 1956"" flag tag. The jersey remains in outstanding all original condition exhibiting fine general use while retaining a pleasing visual appearance. There is no greater name in Cardinals history than Stan Musial. His reputation for consistency over a storied 20+ year career is represented by 20 appearances as a member of the National League All-Star team, and is rivaled only by his reputation as a gentleman both on and off the field.
