Very high quality 10K gold ring issued to Nets owner Roy Boe for the 1974 ABA Championship. Top of the ring features red and blue inlaid enamelwork basketball with an oval shaped diamond in the center. "ABA World Champions NY Nets" encircles the diamond. 1974 dating and shield with game scores is inset on one side panel with "BOE" on the opposite panel. Stamped "Josten 10K" on the interior ring band. The Nets were the dominant team in the ABA during the mid 1970s led by Julius Erving and their aggressive owner Roy Boe. Boe acquired the team from its original owner Arthur Brown and made an impact with his willingness to acquire key players. Carew hit .280 during the 1985 season, which would be the last in his illustrious (19) year career. It was one of only four years in which he batted lower than .300 during a career in which he captured seven AL batting titles and appeared in (14) All-Star games with a lifetime total of 3,053 hits.
