Description: Rare Harry Gowdy single signed baseball. Red and blue stitched Wilson "American League Ball" signed by Gowdy across the sweet spot in blue fountain pen along with a date of 1926. Signature presents very nicely rating 7/8 out of 10. The ball itself shows light general toning with a few small areas of spotting to the sweet spot (manufacturer's stamp) and under the autograph itself. Gowdy was a long tenured baseball catcher of the dead ball era into the 1930s most notably for the "Miracle Braves" of 1914. The offered baseball is the first of its type we have encountered. Includes full LOA from JSA: Ball: VG-EX, Signature: EX-MT
