Description: Fine Spalding ring decorated ring bat c.1870-80s. Superb example of the highest quality for the era and manufacturer measuring 39 1/2" in length and weighing 34.1 ounces. The bat retains its original Spalding manufacturer's log stenciled at the centerbrand area along with (4) decorative rings. Strong original patina with a few chips from handled area and barrel end (reverse side). Relatively small handle crack/fissure visible as well.
