Description: Honus Wagner, Fred Clarke, and Tommy Leach autographed photograph - Stars of the 1909 World Series Champion Pirates. Sepia toned photograph based on the original which was taken in 1909 during the Pirates Championship season shows the trio around which the team was built. Signed in fountain pen by "Honus Wagner" (8 out of 10) and "Fred Clarke" (6/7-7) with "Tommie Leach" done in ink (8). In addition, both Leach and Clarke have signed the back with each adding a short handwritten note (Leach mentions his participation in the 1903 World Series, Clarke his 22 years in the National League). Image itself has a touch of silvering with little mentionable wear. Framed for display in gallery style to 12"x13" overall, the 3.25"x4.5" image is mounted along one edge with framer's tape which has effect on notes/signatures (unknown if this can be removed). Exceptional piece showcasing the Pirates greatest early 20th talent. The Wagner signature exhibits areas where it appears to have been partially enhanced likely by Wagner himself based on similarity of ink and handwriting style.
