Description: Enormous photographic display of Babe Ruth and other "Field Events Winners" of 1931. Imposing display piece features a die-cut image of Babe Ruth, Lefty O'Doul, Ben Chapman, Ethan Allen, and Mayor Jimmy Walker of New York. The occassion was a charity event and Ruth won the fungo contest. Each is identified in raised applied lettering and the piece is captioned in similar style, "Field Events Winner Sept 14, 1931." Measures approx. 64"x84" displayed in an ornate gold framed enclosure with maroon felt background. Although not clear as to the era of manufacture, the piece was clearly done at great expense and is of the highest quality construction.
