Original Uniform Player's Contract and performance incentive addendum related to play during the 1983 season in which Boggs hit a League leading .361 to capture his first Silver Slugger Award. He also touched off a string of (7) consecutive seasons with (200) or more hits, a mark not equaled in the American League until Ichiro Suzuki matched it in 2007. Contract, dated March 3, 1983, is signed twice by Boggs and also by Haywood Sullivan (on behalf of the Red Sox) and AL President Lee MacPhail. Two page addendum listing incentives is likewise signed by Boggs and Sullivan along with a witness. Signatures rate 8 to 9 out of 10.
