Description: Outstanding 1957 Willard Mullin original artwork featuring "The Bum." Fine rendering of Mullin's beloved character as originally published in the April 22, 1957 edition of the New York World Telegram and Sun. "The Bum" is shown with belongings packed up and a word bubble filled with song. It was just days before Walter O'Malley announced the Dodgers move across the country and as the song lyrics and street signs indicate no one was quite sure where the Dodgers would be playing in 1958. Signed at lower right in typical fashion, "Willard Mullin" and inscribed "To Tod & Phoebe With Love - 1957." Work appears to have light scattered wear with generally even toning. Framed for display to 22.75"x27" overall and includes period (1957) newspaper clipping showing it in print. Of the many Mullin works we have encountered, this is one of the most visually appealing inclusive of his most famous character: Appears EX-EX/MT
